St Theresa Catholic Church is pleased to announce their annual seasonal charity- Season of Hope.
This year, you are invited to be the hope for our brothers and sisters in need by providing the requested items written on the colorful autumn leaves in the narthex. Items can also be purchased off our Amazon wishlist and shipped directly to our church.
St. Theresa has partnered with 5 charities to support the Houston community. Catholic Charities, whose mission is to help people in need to become self-sufficient, is asking for toys of all ages for their annual toy drive. Also asking for toys is CCSC, whose mission it is to serve the poor, hungry, and the needy while respecting their religious or cultural differences. Casa Hope, an organization supporting children in difficult domestic or foster situations, is asking for diapers, wipes and bottles. Magnificat House, who help the Houston homeless population with meals, shelters and mental health and wellness support, would like twin sheets, twin blankets and pillowcases. Casa Juan Diego, located just down the street from our parish, and supporting immigrants, refugees and the poor, are asking for toiletries and men’s and women’s underwear. We will also have a black box near the display to donate cash that will go directly to families that the parish supports.
Season of Hope begins the weekend of November 13 &14th and runs through December 12th. Thank you to our parishioners, friends and supporters for joining with us to help those in need. Your generous contributions will have a far reaching impact on the Houston community.
