Our Magnificat Houses’ mission is to offer housing, nourishment, meaningful work, and unwavering spiritual and emotional support to residents of all races and creeds as they rebuild their lives in the community. With 16 residential homes, a Clubhouse for the mentally ill, and a bustling Houston downtown soup kitchen, Magnificat Houses operate not as an agency but as a ministry driven by the belief that everyone is created with dignity and worth. Join us in profoundly impacting lives and fostering a compassionate community by participating in our charity drives throughout the year for this organization. For the next item collection for the Magnificat Houses, please email [email protected]. We actively contribute to supporting our local community in the most meaningful way.
Loaves and Fishes Soup Kitchen Houston is a beacon of hope, providing nourishing meals and essential resources to individuals experiencing homelessness and hunger. By dedicating our time and effort to volunteer at the soup kitchen, we extend our love and support to those in need, offering them warmth, sustenance, and a sense of belonging.
Through volunteering, we create a network of care and compassion that uplifts our community and empowers those in need. Our actions demonstrate the true essence of Christian charity, fostering an environment of empathy, kindness, and solidarity.
Join us on the third Friday of the month, from 8:30 a.m. to noon, to answer the call of compassion by volunteering at Loaves and Fishes Soup Kitchen Houston. Volunteers will help prepare and package a hot meal and then distribute about 300 to-go boxes to the homeless. Volunteers must be 15 years or older.
To find out more or to volunteer at Loaves and Fishes Soup Kitchen, please email Connie Huch at [email protected].
