The Saint Theresa Media Ministry supports our parish mission of All Are Welcome. Through the use of digital media and the operation of the parish's live stream, volunteers in this ministry help encourage active participation among the assembly as they gather for Sunday worship, holy days, weddings, funerals, and other special occasions. This important ministry has become a critical part of our parish's liturgical life both in-person and virtually.
CAMERA MINISTERS
Camara ministers operate the cameras from our audio/visual station in the choir loft, following the flow of the liturgy and ensuring those participating online and in-person can actively engage in the liturgy. Ministers utilize two different cameras and pre-prepared graphics for each liturgy via an easy-to-use video control mixer.
SLIDE MINISTERS
Slide ministers assist camera ministers from our audio/visual station in the choir loft by managing the graphics prepared for each liturgy. These graphics are arranged in an easy-to-navigate format containing content encouraging the faithful gathered in-person and online to actively participate in the liturgy.
WHAT IS REQUIRED TO PARTICIPATE?
While Media Ministry volunteers should possess some technological savviness, the only requirements for participation in this ministry are familiarity with the flow of Mass and the willingness and ability to learn new skills.
New ministers are trained hands-on by current Media Ministry volunteers. While many new participants usually begin as slide ministers and move on to become camera ministers, confident volunteers are welcome to begin as camera ministers from the start.
